The challenge

Distance shouldn't be a networking barrier.

Whether everyone is in the room, everyone is joined online or both at once: networking has to work in every mode. For on site, remote and hybrid, Converve delivers the same structured meeting quality, in a single platform.

Integrated 1:1 video meetings

Video calls run right inside the platform, with no tool switching. Participants start their meeting straight from their personal agenda.

Plenary, workshops & sessions

Keynotes in the plenary, parallel workshop rooms and breakout sessions: every format runs seamlessly in the same environment.

One agenda for on site & remote

On-site and online participants share one common agenda. Hybrid meetings are assigned to the correct mode automatically.

Event app for every device

Profile, matches, agenda and chat, on smartphone, tablet and desktop. Participants always keep their networking in their pocket.

How it works

One event, three modes.

Participants set up their profile, Converve suggests relevant contacts and schedules 1:1 meetings, whether on site at the table or by video. For participants, switching between in person, plenary and video meeting happens with a single click.

  • On site, virtual or hybrid: the same logic
  • Integrated video without an external tool
  • Plenary, workshop rooms & 1:1 in one system
  • Time-zone aware for international participants

Networking in your pocket

The whole event, on every participant's device.

Whether in the room, at the home office or on the move: with Converve's event app, participants always have their profile, matches, agenda and chat to hand. The decisive networking moment, the quick message, the meeting confirmation, the video call, happens exactly when it fits.

For hybrid and virtual formats that means: remote participants are equal. They start 1:1 video meetings from the same app in which on-site participants find their table.

  • Profile, matches, agenda & chat on mobile
  • Start 1:1 video meetings straight from the app
  • Push reminders for meetings & open requests
  • The same networking quality on site and remote

Streaming & integrations

Keynote, workshop, 1:1: one system instead of a tool zoo.

Hybrid events rarely fail on content, they fail on the switching between tools: streaming here, meeting software there, the agenda in a PDF. Converve Rooms brings livestreams, workshop rooms and native 1:1 video meetings into one environment. If you want to keep your existing tools: Zoom, MS Teams, Webex or YouTube can be embedded directly, and participants always stay in the same platform with the same agenda.

  • Converve Rooms: streaming without a third party
  • Zoom, Teams, Webex & YouTube can be integrated
  • On-demand videos, live polls & speed networking
  • One agenda across every format

The process

A hybrid event in three steps.

From the registration form to the on-demand recording: that's how your hybrid or virtual event runs with Converve.

  1. Capture each participant's mode

Right at registration, participants indicate whether they are on site or remote. Everyone lands in the same platform with the same agenda. There's no separate second-class "online event."

  2. Match across every mode

Matching ignores distance: when two on-site participants meet, Converve schedules a table; when one side is remote, a native video meeting is set up automatically, time-zone aware for international participants.

  3. Run it & repurpose it

Keynotes run as a stream in the plenary, workshops in parallel rooms, 1:1 meetings straight from the agenda. Recordings are available on demand, and the reporting analyzes on-site and remote participants together.

Typical pain points

Why hybrid events fail in practice, and how Converve solves it.

We hear these six problems again and again from organizers of hybrid and virtual formats. For each one there's a built-in answer.

  • Two events instead of one

Remote participants get demoted to second-class spectators. With Converve, both groups share the same agenda, the same matching and the same visibility: the participation mode is an attribute, not a dividing line.

  • Tool breaks kill the energy

Open the platform, find the Zoom link, check the agenda in a PDF: every switch costs participants. With Converve, every meeting and every session starts with a single click from the personal agenda, and video runs natively in the platform.

  • On site meets remote, and no one knows how

What happens when one side is in the room and the other is joined online? Converve assigns every 1:1 meeting to the right format automatically: a table for two on-site participants, video as soon as one side is remote.

  • Time zones blow up the agenda

International participants see meetings in their own time zone, and scheduling respects availability windows. That's how a virtual event with participants from several continents works without 3 a.m. meetings.

  • Virtual means anonymous

Without the coffee queue, the chance encounter is missing, so you need planned encounters: profiles, matching, chat and 1:1 video. That's how High-Tech Gründerfonds moved its Family Day entirely virtual, with networking on the level of physical events.

  • Once the stream ends, it's over

On-demand recordings and an optional 365-day community extend the event beyond the event day. That's how SAP turned the CONNECT "Remote" event into a partner community active all year round.

What is a hybrid event?

A hybrid event is an event where some participants take part on site and others join online, both with equal standing. What matters is that the program and the networking work in both modes: a shared agenda, sessions as a stream and 1:1 meetings either at the table or by video. Platforms like Converve assign every meeting to the correct mode automatically and show, per participant, whether they are present or remote, creating one shared event instead of two parallel ones.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a hybrid and a virtual event?

At a virtual event everyone takes part online; at a hybrid event some are on site and some are remote, at the same time and with equal standing. Converve uses the same logic for both: one profile, one agenda, one matching. Switching between the modes is a setting, not a new project.

Do we also need Zoom or Teams?

No. 1:1 video meetings and streaming via Converve Rooms run natively in the platform, without a third-party tool and without participants switching tools. If you want to keep existing systems, you can embed Zoom, MS Teams, Webex, GoToWebinar or YouTube directly.

How does a 1:1 meeting work when one person is on site and one is remote?

Automatically as a video meeting: Converve detects the mode combination and schedules accordingly, with a table only when both are on site. Both participants start their meeting from the same personal agenda, the remote one with a click, the on-site one on the device of their choice.

Can we stream and record keynotes?

Yes. Converve Rooms offers integrated livestreaming for keynotes, breakouts, webinars and workshops, plus on-demand video after the session, whiteboards, live polls and speed networking. Everything runs in the same platform where matching and 1:1 meetings also take place.

How do we keep remote participants actively engaged?

Through planned encounters instead of passive watching: pre-confirmed 1:1 video meetings as fixed anchors in the agenda, speed networking, live polls and chat. The event app sends push reminders for meetings and open requests, so remote participants have the same full calendar as on-site guests.

Does this also work across time zones?

Yes. Meetings are shown to each participant in their own time zone, and scheduling respects availability windows. That makes it possible to organize virtual B2B events with participants from Europe, the Americas and Asia, without any side having to take part at unsocial hours.

What technology do participants need?

Just a current browser: Converve runs as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on desktop, tablet and smartphone, with no download, no installation and no admin rights. That lowers the barrier especially for participants who only join for a single meeting.

Are there examples of successful hybrid or virtual events with Converve?

Yes: SAP moved its partner event CONNECT virtual with Converve and developed it into a year-round community (see case study). High-Tech Gründerfonds ran its Family Day entirely virtual, including 1:1 video meetings between startups and investors on the level of physical events.
